"Pixels pixels, on the screen, who is the most isometric of them all?" Asked the tree.

The Mana RPG series always has the prettiest plantlife, I wanted to make something like that. :3

Anyway, I'm a little hestitant to leave this one in the pixel art gallery, since the animation is a bit of filteristic concheatery, resulting in anti-aliased bits and pieces.

I decided against making this a "building" animation like the coop book shop mainly because it was ridiculously hard to make the trunk of the tree build itself in an amusing fashion. I prefer it this way anyway, it looks nice and relaxing. :D

Download to view the whole thing, as always.

I approve of this tree and its subtle animation.

However, I feel it could be further improved by the addition of a space marine.

Whether a thought is spoken or not it is a real thing and has powers of reality.

I like it. I didn't realize this was a animation when I first saw it. It would look great in a game.

Awesome, I was hoping it would be something most people wouldn't notice at first. Thanks for the comment. :D

My first thought was that it reminded me of the subtle animations in the background in RPGs. I love the big leaves.

I want to have a picnic under it.

That took me a while to see it was animated... Good job...

This is very nice! I could be wrong when I say this since I am not really skilled in art. But it feels like the tree is unnecessarily darker than the grass in certain spots. The spots that are not in the shade. I am not sure why that is. Maybe its because the way the leaves seem to perfectly transition from dim to bright. Maybe the leaves on the tree needs a more overall brightness and some added yellowish highlights? I hope that makes some sense. I would have to put the picture on a darker background and play with that to see how it would turn out.

A very good point! I thought this might be the case too a while after I made it... I had built the grass and the leaves using different methods and colours, and it sort of left them a oddly juxtaposing. Darkening the grass took too much life out of the scene, so I just left it as it was.

Thanks for pointing it out, I'll keep an eye out for this in my future works. :D
